Reduce Eye Strain During Long Gaming Sessions
Lower the Blue Tint Intensity
The blue iris glow, while beautiful, can cause fatigue during extended play. Access shader settings and reduce the Blue Tint Strength or Glow Intensity to a more neutral level. This preserves the shader's lighting improvements without overwhelming your eyes.
Disable or Soften Pulsing
The pulsing effect, though subtle, can contribute to eye strain. Find the Pulse Speed or Bloom Flicker option and either disable it entirely or reduce its frequency. A slower pulse is less fatiguing than a rapid one.
Adjust Brightness and Contrast
If available, increase Gamma slightly to brighten darker areas without relying solely on the glow effect. This reduces the contrast between lit and shadowed regions, which decreases eye fatigue.
Take Regular Breaks
Regardless of shader settings, follow the 20-20-20 rule: every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. Combine this with shader adjustments for maximum comfort during long sessions.
