Reduce Eye Strain During Long Play Sessions

Disable or Lower Bloom Effects

Bloom can cause eye fatigue during extended play. In shader settings, find the Bloom or Glow Intensity slider and reduce it significantly or disable it entirely. This removes the soft halo around bright objects while keeping the image crisp.

Adjust Contrast and Saturation

BCR Shades keeps colors clean and readable, but if you find yourself straining, slightly lower Saturation to reduce visual intensity. This makes the world feel calmer without looking washed out.

Enable or Adjust Gamma Correction

If available in your shader settings, Gamma adjustments let you brighten or darken the overall image without affecting individual light sources. A slight increase can reduce the contrast between bright and dark areas, easing eye strain.

Take Regular Breaks

No shader setting replaces stepping away. Play in well-lit rooms, position your monitor at arm's length, and take breaks every hour. BCR Shades' clean visuals are designed to be easy on the eyes, but proper setup and habits matter most.
