Optimize Lighting and Visibility at Night
Understand Night Lighting in BCR Shades
BCR Shades maintains readable lighting during night cycles without making darkness feel artificial. However, you may want to fine-tune how dark nights appear and how artificial light sources behave.
Adjust Night Brightness
In the shader settings, look for Night Brightness or Ambient Light sliders. Increasing this makes moonlit landscapes more visible without washing out shadows. Decrease it if nights feel too bright and lose their atmospheric quality.
Enhance Light Source Visibility
Torches, lanterns, and other light blocks should cast clear, defined light. If they appear dim or their glow feels weak, check the Light Emission or Emissive setting. Boosting this makes artificial lighting more prominent in dark areas.
Test in Different Environments
Visit caves, forests, and open plains at night. Ensure you can navigate safely without torches while maintaining the shader's clean, non-magical aesthetic. Adjust settings until night exploration feels balanced—challenging but not frustrating.
