Making Gooseberry Food and Drink

Gooseberries are the core food item in the mod. They can be eaten raw or turned into several prepared foods.

Basic Gooseberry Items

Gooseberries come from Gooseberry Sack blocks and from harvesting the bushes themselves. A Gooseberry Sack is a storage block that holds the berries. From raw Gooseberries you can craft Gooseberry Juice, Gooseberry Jam, and Gooseberry Pie. Honey Glazed Gooseberries combine Gooseberries with honey for a sweeter variant.

Cookies and Jam

Gooseberry Jam Cookie is a baked good made from Gooseberry Jam and cookie ingredients. Gooseberry Jam itself is a crafting_shapeless recipe, so the order of ingredients in the grid does not matter — just place them together. Gooseberry Juice is a drink item, also made in the crafting grid.

Using the Harvest

Keep a Gooseberry Sack near your kitchen so you can pull berries without carrying loose stacks. Convert surplus berries into Jam and Juice for longer storage. Honey Glazed Gooseberries are worth making once you have a Cypress Beehive producing honey. Gooseberry Pie is the heaviest food item of the set and is worth the extra ingredients when you are heading out for a long build.
