Building a Full Cypress Shape Set: Stairs, Slabs, and Vertical Slabs

The Three Shape Blocks

Cypress Stairs, Cypress Slabs, and Cypress Vertical Slabs are each crafted from Cypress Planks in the crafting grid. Vertical Cypress Planks are a separate block that also feeds into Cypress Vertical Slabs, so if you want the vertical-plank texture on a wall, saw Cypress Logs into Vertical Cypress Planks first and then convert those into vertical slabs.

Matching the Algae Thatch Set

Algae Thatch has its own matching shapes: Algae Thatch Slab, Algae Thatch Stairs, and Algae Thatch Vertical Slab. Craft these from Algae Thatch the same way you craft the Cypress shapes from Cypress Planks. Use Algae Thatch shapes for roofing and Cypress shapes for structure so the two palettes read as separate layers.

Practical Tips

Cypress Fence and Cypress Fence Gate pair with the shape set for railings. Cypress Post and Stripped Cypress Post give you a thin vertical column that fits between stairs and slabs.
