Using Blasting for Faster Ingot Production

Blasting is the fast alternative to smelting for every raw ore in this mod. Place Raw Aluminum, Raw Lead, Raw Nickel, Raw Osmium, Raw Silver, Raw Tin, Raw Uranium, or Raw Zinc into a blast furnace to produce the matching ingot: Aluminum Ingot, Lead Ingot, Nickel Ingot, Osmium Ingot, Silver Ingot, Tin Ingot, Uranium Ingot, or Zinc Ingot. Blasting completes in roughly half the time of a normal furnace, which matters when you are processing large batches.

Setting Up a Blasting Line

Build a blast furnace, feed it fuel, and keep the input slot filled with a single raw ore type. Because the output is always one ingot per ore, you can measure progress by counting ingots as they appear. Run separate blast furnaces for different metals if you want to process several ore types at once without sorting mixed outputs.

Choosing Between Blasting and Smelting

Use blasting when speed matters and you have a blast furnace available. Use regular smelting when you only have a standard furnace or when fuel efficiency is more important than time. Both routes produce identical ingots, so you can switch freely between them depending on what equipment you have on hand.
