How to Get Raw Ores and Craft Raw Blocks

Mining the Raw Ores

Raw Aluminum, Raw Lead, Raw Nickel, Raw Osmium, Raw Silver, Raw Tin, Raw Uranium, and Raw Zinc are the starting materials for every metal in this mod. Mine the corresponding ore blocks to collect them. Each raw ore can be stored in bulk by crafting it into its matching Raw Block: Raw Aluminum Block, Raw Lead Block, Raw Nickel Block, Raw Osmium Block, Raw Silver Block, Raw Tin Block, Raw Uranium Block, and Raw Zinc Block.

Compacting and Unpacking

Raw blocks follow the standard 3x3 storage pattern. Place nine of the same raw ore in a crafting grid to produce one raw block, and place one raw block back into the grid to recover nine raw ores. This is the fastest way to free up inventory space while mining and to keep your storage chests organized before you process anything.

Why Store Raw First

Keeping ores in raw form lets you decide later whether to smelt or blast them. Raw blocks also stack the same as any other block, so a single chest slot holds nine times the material of a loose ore stack. Build a small stockpile of each raw block before you start smelting so you always have material on hand for ingots, nuggets, and decorative metal blocks.
