Compressing Ingots into Blocks

Every ingot in this mod compresses into a matching storage block. Combine nine Aluminum Ingot into an Aluminum Block, nine Lead Ingot into a Lead Block, nine Nickel Ingot into a Nickel Block, nine Osmium Ingot into an Osmium Block, nine Silver Ingot into a Silver Block, nine Tin Ingot into a Tin Block, nine Uranium Ingot into a Uranium Block, and nine Zinc Ingot into a Zinc Block. The 3x3 pattern is the same for each metal.

Reversing Blocks into Ingots

Place a single metal block back into a crafting grid to recover nine ingots of that type. This makes blocks a compact storage format: one block occupies one inventory or chest slot while holding nine ingots worth of material. Convert back to ingots whenever you need them for crafting or further processing.

Organizing a Metal Vault

Store each metal as blocks in its own chest or labeled section. Because blocks and ingots convert cleanly in both directions, you never lose material by compacting. Keep a small reserve of loose ingots for immediate crafting and store the bulk as blocks to save space. This keeps Aluminum Block, Lead Block, Nickel Block, Osmium Block, Silver Block, Tin Block, Uranium Block, and Zinc Block easy to find when you need them.
