How to Craft Bamboo Planks and Vertical Bamboo Planks

Turning Bamboo into Planks

Bamboo Planks are the base material for most of the mod's building blocks, so make a stack before starting anything else. Craft Bamboo Planks using a crafting recipe, then use those planks as the input for the rest of the set.

Vertical Bamboo Planks

Vertical Bamboo Planks are a separate decorative block that runs the plank texture vertically instead of horizontally. Craft them from Bamboo Planks in a crafting grid. Use them for pillars, wall accents, or anywhere you want the grain to run up and down rather than side to side. They pair well next to normal Bamboo Planks to break up flat walls.

What to Build Next

Once you have a supply of Bamboo Planks, you can branch into the full block family: Bamboo Slab, Bamboo Stairs, Bamboo Fence, Bamboo Fence Gate, Bamboo Door, Bamboo Trapdoor, Bamboo Button, Bamboo Pressure Plate, Bamboo Sign, Bamboo Ladder, Bamboo Bookshelf, Bamboo Chest, and Bamboo Trapped Chest. Each of these is crafted from Bamboo Planks, so keep a chest of planks on hand and craft components as you need them rather than all at once. Bamboo Slab and Bamboo Stairs are the fastest way to make a build look finished, so start there.
