Crafting Reed Thatch

Reed Thatch is a roofing-style block in the mod. Craft Reed Thatch first, then use it as the input for the rest of the thatch family. It works as a full block on its own for walls and roofs.

The Thatch Shape Set

From Reed Thatch you can craft three shaped variants:

• Reed Thatch Slab — half-height block for roof edges and floor trim.
• Reed Thatch Stairs — for pitched roofs and stepped transitions.
• Reed Thatch Vertical Slab — a slab that stands upright, useful for thin walls and vertical trim.

Roofing Tips

Lay Reed Thatch Stairs in rows to build a pitched roof, then cap the ridge with full Reed Thatch. Use Reed Thatch Slab along the eaves so the roof overhangs cleanly. Reed Thatch Vertical Slab is the piece to reach for when you want a thin partition or a vertical accent strip that matches the roof. Because all four blocks share the same texture, mixing them in one build reads as a single material. Keep a stack of each shape in your inventory while building so you can switch between full blocks, slabs, stairs, and vertical slabs without running back to a crafting table.
