How to Craft a Rucksack in the Backpacker Mod

Gather the Materials

The Rucksack is the entry point for portable storage in the Backpacker Mod. All four storage items — Endersack, Netherpack, Rucksack, and Shulkerpack — are produced through shaped crafting recipes, so you will need a crafting table and the correct arrangement of ingredients.

Before you start, decide what you want to carry. The Rucksack is the general-purpose pack, so it is the one to build first if you have no other pack yet.

Craft the Rucksack

Open a crafting table and place the ingredients in the shaped pattern the recipe requires. Because the recipe is a shaped recipe, the exact position of each ingredient in the grid matters — moving a stack to the wrong slot will produce nothing. Once the pattern is correct, take the Rucksack from the output slot.

Use It

Equip or open the Rucksack to access its storage. Keep it in your inventory so its contents travel with you. If you later want a pack tied to a different purpose, the Netherpack, Endersack, and Shulkerpack are separate shaped recipes built from their own ingredient sets, so you can craft each one independently rather than upgrading the Rucksack into them.
