Troubleshoot Visual Glitches or Lag Spikes

Identify the Problem Type

Lag spikes (sudden FPS drops) differ from consistent low FPS. Use F3 to watch for sudden dips. Visual glitches (flickering, missing textures, color shifts) suggest shader conflicts or incorrect settings.

Reset Shader Options

If you see strange colors, flickering water, or broken shadows, reset B3 PvP to default settings. In shader options, look for a "Reset" or "Default" button. This clears any conflicting tweaks you've made.

Check for Mod Conflicts

B3 PvP works best with minimal other mods. If you're running many mods alongside shaders, they may compete for GPU resources. Disable non-essential mods temporarily to isolate the problem.

Verify Your Graphics Driver

Outdated GPU drivers cause shader glitches. Update your graphics drivers through your GPU manufacturer's control panel or website.

Last Resort: Reinstall

If problems persist after resetting options and updating drivers, remove B3 PvP completely and reinstall it fresh. Corrupted shader files occasionally cause unexplained visual issues that a clean install resolves.
