Improve Visibility of Players in Multiplayer Combat

Use Brightness Settings Effectively

B3 PvP is designed for clear player visibility. Access your shader options and check the brightness or gamma slider. Increase it slightly to make distant players more visible without washing out the scene. The vanilla aesthetic should remain intact.

Adjust Lighting Preferences

The shader includes options for how shadows and ambient light interact:

  • Reduce shadow intensity: Softer shadows mean fewer dark areas where opponents can hide.
  • Increase ambient light: This brightens shadowed regions without removing depth, making players visible in caves or under trees.
  • Disable cave fog (if available): Clearer visibility in underground PvP arenas.

Environmental Tweaks

Beyond shader settings, ensure your game brightness is set to maximum in Video Settings. Disable any resource packs that darken textures—they conflict with B3 PvP's visibility design.

Test in the actual PvP environment you'll fight in. Lighting changes between biomes, so what works in a desert may need adjustment in a forest. Spend a few minutes scouting your arena to confirm opponent visibility.
