How to Make Snail Shell Armor and Building Blocks

Collecting Snail Materials

Snail Goo and Snail Shell Piece are the two base drops. Snail Goo can be placed as Snail Goo Block. Snail Shell Piece is what you need for armor and for the shell building set.

Snail Shell Chestplate

Craft Snail Shell Chestplate from Snail Shell Piece. This is the armor piece in the shell line, so gather enough Snail Shell Piece before you start crafting.

Shell Building Blocks

Snail Shell Block is the base building block. From it you can craft the full decorative family:

• Snail Shell Bricks, plus Snail Shell Brick Slab, Snail Shell Brick Stairs, and Snail Shell Brick Wall.
• Chiseled Snail Shell Bricks for a detailed variant.
• Snail Shell Tiles, plus Snail Shell Tile Slab, Snail Shell Tile Stairs, and Snail Shell Tile Wall.

Use stonecutting on Snail Shell Block to get the slab, stair, and wall variants efficiently instead of crafting each one separately.

Snail Goo Block is a separate decorative block from Snail Goo. Place it wherever you want a gooey accent. Combine shell bricks with Maple Planks or Maple Boards if you want the shell palette to match a maple build.
