How to Get Syrup and Make Pancakes

Find a Sappy Maple Log or Sappy Maple Wood. These are the source blocks you need for syrup production. Break them and bring them back to your base, or harvest them on site.

Syrup and Pancake Crafting

Process Sappy Maple Log or Sappy Maple Wood to obtain Syrup Bottle. Once you have a Syrup Bottle, combine it with the other required ingredients in a crafting recipe to produce Pancake. Pancakes are a food item you can eat directly.

If you want the full maple wood set, Sappy Maple Log and Sappy Maple Wood can also be processed into Stripped Maple Wood and the rest of the maple building family: Maple Planks, Maple Boards, Maple Slab, Maple Stairs, Maple Fence, Maple Fence Gate, Maple Door, Maple Trapdoor, Maple Button, Maple Pressure Plate, Maple Sign, Maple Hanging Sign, Maple Ladder, Maple Chest, Trapped Maple Chest, Maple Bookshelf, and Chiseled Maple Bookshelf.

Maple Leaves, Orange Maple Leaves, Red Maple Leaves, and Yellow Maple Leaves can be collected and placed as Pile of Maple Leaves, Pile of Orange Maple Leaves, Pile of Red Maple Leaves, or Pile of Yellow Maple Leaves for decoration. A Maple Beehive can also be crafted from maple materials if you want bees nearby.

Keep a Syrup Bottle on hand before you start cooking so you do not have to make a second trip for sap.
