How to Craft and Use Snail Shell Blocks and Armor

Getting Snail Shells

Snails spawn from the Snail Spawn Egg. When killed or harvested, they drop Snail Shell Piece and Snail Goo. Snail Goo can be packed into a Snail Goo Block. Snail Shell Piece is the raw material for all shell building blocks and armor.

Crafting Snail Shell Building Blocks

Combine Snail Shell Piece into Snail Shell Block, then into Snail Shell Bricks and Snail Shell Tiles. From Snail Shell Bricks you can craft Snail Shell Brick Slab, Snail Shell Brick Stairs, and Snail Shell Brick Wall. From Snail Shell Tiles you can craft Snail Shell Tile Slab, Snail Shell Tile Stairs, and Snail Shell Tile Wall. Chiseled Snail Shell Bricks is the decorative variant. Use the stonecutter on Snail Shell Block, Snail Shell Bricks, or Snail Shell Tiles to cut slabs, stairs, and walls efficiently.

Crafting Snail Shell Armor

Snail Shell Piece is also the material for Snail Shell Chestplate. Collect enough Snail Shell Piece to craft the chestplate and wear it for protection.

Snail Goo Uses

Snail Goo Block is a solid building block made from Snail Goo. Keep Snail Goo on hand if you plan to craft or place Snail Goo Block. Snails are the only source of both Snail Shell Piece and Snail Goo, so maintain a snail pen if you want a steady supply of shell blocks and armor.
