Hide Item Name Tooltips When Switching Gear

Disable Floating Item Labels

When you swap held items, the mod can optionally hide the item name tooltip that normally appears on screen. This creates a cleaner visual experience without losing functionality.

Steps

1. Open the mod's in-game settings

2. Look for the Hide Item Tooltips or Item Name Display toggle

3. Enable this option

4. Close settings and swap items in your hotbar—the floating name label should no longer appear

5. If you want tooltips back for specific situations, disable the toggle and reopen settings

When to Use This

Disabling tooltips is especially useful during combat or building, where visual distractions can interfere with gameplay. You'll still know which item you're holding from the selected slot indicator, but without the extra text cluttering your view. This pairs well with a short fade delay for a truly minimal HUD experience.
