Adjust Lighting and Brightness to Your Preference
Access Shader Settings
Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually accessed through Video Settings > Shaders > Shader Options). This opens the configuration panel where you can fine-tune how the shader processes light across your world.
Modify Brightness and Contrast
Look for brightness and contrast sliders in the main options. Increase brightness if caves feel too dark or you want more visibility during night gameplay. Reduce it if the world feels washed out or you prefer a moodier atmosphere.
Adjust Ambient Lighting
Ambient light controls how much light fills shadowed areas. Lower values create deeper shadows and more dramatic lighting; higher values brighten caves and indoor spaces uniformly. This is useful if you find yourself struggling to see in unlit areas without torches.
Fine-Tune Block Lighting
Some options let you adjust how torches, lamps, and other light sources illuminate nearby blocks. Increase this if you want light to spread further and feel more natural. Decrease it for a more localized, realistic glow.
Apply and Test
Apply changes and load into your world. Spend time in different biomes and lighting conditions to ensure the settings feel right for your playstyle.
