Enhance Sunbeams and Shadow Realism
Locate Lighting Controls
Open the Aurora_Lite shader configuration menu and find settings related to "Sunbeams," "God Rays," "Shadow Intensity," or "Light Scattering." These control how sunlight interacts with the environment.
Adjust Sunbeam Intensity
Increase sunbeam values to make light rays more visible when the sun shines through clouds or over terrain. This creates dramatic atmospheric effects, especially during sunrise and sunset. Decrease the value for subtler, more understated lighting.
Fine-Tune Shadow Depth
Shadow settings control how dark shadowed areas appear. Higher values create sharper, more defined shadows beneath trees and buildings. Lower values produce softer, more diffuse shadows that feel gentler on the eyes.
Test Across Day Cycles
Visit your world at different times—dawn, noon, dusk, and night—to see how your adjustments affect the overall lighting. Pay attention to how shadows fall across terrain and how sunbeams interact with clouds. Adjust incrementally to achieve realistic, balanced lighting that enhances the vanilla aesthetic without feeling overdone.
