Enhance Torchlight and Cave Ambiance

Understand Torchlight Changes

Aurora Enhanced modifies how torches and other light sources emit light, making them appear warmer and more atmospheric. This happens automatically, but you can customize the effect through shader settings.

Locate Warm Light Controls

In the shader options, find settings related to light color temperature or warm lighting. These control how much orange and yellow tint light sources emit compared to vanilla Minecraft.

Build Torch-Lit Spaces

Create underground bases, caves, or cozy interiors to see the enhanced torchlight effect in action. The shader makes torches feel more like real fire:

  • Place torches in clusters for stronger warmth
  • Build enclosed spaces to see how light bounces
  • Combine torches with dark stone to increase contrast

Compare with Daylight

Move between torch-lit caves and sunlit areas to appreciate the contrast. The warm glow should feel noticeably cozier than vanilla torchlight, creating a more immersive atmosphere for underground mining or base building.
