Adjust Lighting Intensity for Your Playstyle

Access Shader Settings

Open the shader options menu by pressing the designated key (usually found in your video settings under Shader Options). Look for lighting or brightness adjustment sliders.

Customize Lighting Levels

AuraBound Shaders provides controls to increase or decrease overall lighting intensity. If caves feel too dark for your preference, raise the ambient light slider. If you want deeper shadows and more contrast, lower it. These changes apply immediately without restarting your world.

Fine-Tune Shadow Softness

Locate the shadow softness or blur setting. Higher values create gentler, more diffused shadows around blocks and mobs—useful if you find hard shadows distracting. Lower values produce sharper shadow edges for a crisper look.

Test in Different Biomes

Visit multiple biomes to see how your settings feel. Desert and snow biomes reflect light differently than forests. Spend time in caves and at night to ensure torch glow and night vision remain clear and comfortable.

Save Your Preset

Once satisfied, save your configuration as a custom preset so you don't lose your adjustments if you switch shaders temporarily.
