Crafting Linen, Carpet, and Cloth

Get the Base Fiber

Linen starts from plant fiber gathered in the Atum desert. Process the raw fiber through the atum:spinning_wheel to produce Bolt of Linen Cloth. The spinning wheel is the only station that converts fiber into cloth, so build one before you try to make any linen block.

Dye the Cloth

Once you have Bolt of Linen Cloth, combine it with dye in a crafting recipe to produce colored linen. The mod registers Black Linen, Blue Linen, and Brown Linen as craftable blocks. Each color also has a matching Linen Carpet variant: Black Linen Carpet, Blue Linen Carpet, and Brown Linen Carpet.

Place and Use Linen

Linen blocks are full decorative blocks; place them as walls, floors, or ceilings. Linen Carpet is a thin overlay you can place on top of solid blocks. Both are useful for building interiors that match the Atum aesthetic without using stone or ceramic.

Scaling Up Production

• Build multiple spinning wheels if you need large quantities of cloth.
• Keep a stock of each dye color so you can switch between Black Linen, Blue Linen, and Brown Linen on demand.
• Craft carpet in batches; each carpet recipe consumes one linen block, so plan your linen output accordingly.
• Store finished linen and carpet in separate chests to avoid mixing colors.

Linen is the softest building material in the mod, so use it where you want a fabric look rather than stone or ceramic.
