Building with Ceramic Tiles and Pavers

Craft the Base Tiles

Ceramic tiles come in four colors: Black Ceramic Tiles, Blue Ceramic Tiles, Brown Ceramic Tiles, and the fourth color variant. Craft the base tile block first, then use it as the input for the shaped variants. Each color has a full family: Ceramic Tile Slab, Ceramic Tile Stairs, Ceramic Tile Wall, and Ceramic Tile Paver.

Use the Stonecutter

Most ceramic variants are produced at the stonecutter, which is the fastest way to convert one tile block into slabs, stairs, walls, and pavers. Place a stonecutter, insert the base tile, and select the shape you want. This avoids consuming extra blocks in a crafting grid.

Pavers vs Tiles

Ceramic Tile Paver is a flat, road-like variant. Use pavers for paths, courtyards, and floors where you want a smooth surface. Use regular Ceramic Tiles for walls and accent panels. Slabs, stairs, and walls let you build detailed structures with the same color family.

Mixing Colors

• Combine Black Ceramic Tiles, Blue Ceramic Tiles, and Brown Ceramic Tiles in patterns for mosaic floors.
• Use Ceramic Tile Slab to create stepped edges and low ledges.
• Use Ceramic Tile Wall as a fence-like barrier that matches your tile build.
• Reserve Ceramic Tile Paver for high-traffic areas so the pattern reads clearly.

Ceramic is the most versatile decorative family in the mod, so stockpile tiles before starting a large build.
