How to Get Started with Starlight and Your First Rock Crystal

Find and Mine Rock Crystal Ore

Your first goal is a Rock Crystal. Mine Rock Crystal Ore, which drops Rock Crystal when broken. Keep any Aquamarine Shale you find nearby, since it feeds later recipes.

Build the Luminous Crafting Table

The Luminous Crafting Table is your entry crafting station. Place it down and open it to see the recipes it supports. From here you can craft the Astral Tome, which records constellations and progression as you discover them.

Use the Luminous Crafting Table to produce early components such as Illumination Powder and Stardust. These feed the Lightwell, which produces Liquid Starlight — the core fluid for almost everything that follows.

Set Up a Lightwell

Place a Lightwell and give it the inputs it accepts. It converts them into Liquid Starlight, which you can collect with a Liquid Starlight Bucket or route into adjacent blocks. Liquid Starlight is required to craft the Starlight Infuser and to infuse Rock Crystal into Celestial Crystal.

Next Steps

Once you have steady Liquid Starlight, build the Starlight Infuser. This unlocks Infused Wood, Infused Crystal tools, and the path toward the Attunement Altar and Celestial Altar.
