How to Build a Collector Crystal and Generate Starlight

Craft the Collector Crystal

The Collector Crystal is the block that gathers starlight and transmits it to nearby machines. Craft it using Celestial Crystal and Marble components once you have a Starlight Infuser.

Place It Correctly

Place the Collector Crystal with a clear line of sight to the sky. It collects starlight at night and can be linked to other blocks using the Linking Tool. Link the collector to a Starlight Infuser, Lightwell, or Celestial Altar to feed them starlight without direct sky access.

Upgrade to Celestial Collector Crystal

Infuse or craft the Celestial Collector Crystal for a stronger version that gathers more starlight and covers a larger area. Use it to power multiple machines from one collection point.

Lenses and Routing

Attach a Crystal Lens to redirect the beam. Variants include Glass Lens, Spectral Lens, Break Lens, Damage Lens, Growth Lens, Ignition Lens, Push Lens, and Regeneration Lens — each changes what the beam does to blocks or entities it hits.

Practical Setup

Build a collector on a tall pillar, link it to your crafting area, and run lenses to split the beam. This lets one collector feed an infuser, a lightwell, and an altar at once.
