How to Capture and Release Mobs with the Mob Net and Mob Net Launcher
Catching a Mob
Craft a Mob Net and a Mob Net Launcher. Hold the Mob Net Launcher and aim at the mob you want to capture. Fire the net at the mob to trap it. A captured mob is stored in the net and can be carried in your inventory. This works on the mobs you would normally expect to lead or push around, so use it when you need to relocate a specific mob without killing it.
Releasing the Mob
Take the loaded Mob Net to where you want the mob to live. Use the net to release the mob at that spot. The mob appears at the release point and resumes normal behavior. Release inside a sealed pen or a lit room if you do not want it to wander or despawn.
Combining with Other Tools
- Use the Mob Net Launcher alongside a Spawner Frame setup to move mobs out of a spawner room and into a farm.
- Pair with the Pipette if you need to handle small or delicate mobs that are awkward to net directly.
- The Hefty Bag and Trash Bag are for item cleanup, not mobs — do not try to store mobs in them.
- Keep spare Mob Nets in your inventory so you can chain captures without returning to a crafting table.
