What a Lens Is For

Each crystal family has a Lens: Incremental Crystal Lens, Life Crystal Lens, and Lunar Crystal Lens. A Lens is a distinct block, not a variant of the plain crystal, so you craft it separately from the same crystal line it belongs to. Treat the Lens as an accent piece — it reads differently from the solid Block and works best when framed by Slabs and Stairs of the same family.

Crafting Each Lens

Pick the family you are working in and gather that crystal. The three lines do not interchange: an Incremental Crystal will not produce a Life Crystal Lens, and a Lunar Crystal will not produce an Incremental Crystal Lens. Match the input to the output every time.

Craft the Lens with a shaped recipe using the crystal of that family. Because the recipe is shaped, the position of the crystals in the grid matters — follow the pattern rather than filling slots randomly.

If you are building a full set, craft the Block, Slab, and Stairs for the same family in the same session so you are not switching crystal types back and forth. Keep one stack of each crystal dedicated to Lens production and another to Block production, and you will never accidentally consume Lens materials on stairs.
