Crafting Crystal Blocks, Slabs, and Stairs

From Crystals to Building Blocks

Every crystal family in the mod has a matching building set: a Block, a Lens, a Slab, and Stairs. The three families are Incremental Crystal, Life Crystal, and Lunar Crystal. Each family uses its own crystal as the base ingredient, so decide which color and tier you want before you start cutting materials.

Start by crafting the full Block from your chosen crystal. The Block is the hub for the rest of the set — Slabs and Stairs are derived from it rather than from the raw crystal, so you always craft the Block first.

Cutting Slabs and Stairs

Once you have a Block, craft Slabs and Stairs from it using the standard shaped recipes. A single Block yields multiple Slabs, and the Stairs recipe consumes Blocks in the usual staircase pattern. Because these are shaped recipes, arrange the Blocks exactly as the pattern requires — a loose arrangement in the grid will not produce the piece you want.

The Lens is a separate decorative block in each family. Craft it from the same crystal line, then place it where you want a glowing or translucent accent. Lenses pair well set into walls of their matching Block.

Build in batches: craft a stack of Blocks, split it between Slabs and Stairs, and keep a few Lenses aside. Mixing all three shapes in one wall gives the crystal sets depth without needing any other material.
