How to Craft and Use the Enchanting Apparatus

The Enchanting Apparatus is the core crafting station for most Ars Nouveau recipes. Place it down, then surround it with Arcane Pedestals to feed it ingredients.

Setting Up the Apparatus

1. Craft and place one Enchanting Apparatus.

2. Place Arcane Pedestals in a ring around it — each pedestal holds one ingredient.

3. Drop the base item onto the Enchanting Apparatus itself.

4. Place the remaining ingredients on the surrounding Arcane Pedestals.

5. The Apparatus pulls from the pedestals and completes the recipe automatically.

Recipes that use the Enchanting Apparatus include the Arcane Core, Enchanter's Wand, Enchanter's Sword, Enchanter's Bow, Enchanter's Crossbow, Enchanter's Gauntlet, Enchanter's Shield, Enchanter's Mirror, Enchanter's Eye, Enchanter's Fishing Rod, Imbuement Chamber, Alchemical Sourcelink, Agronomic Sourcelink, Mycelial Sourcelink, and the various mage armor pieces such as Arcanist's Hat, Arcanist's Robes, Arcanist's Pants, Arcanist's Treads, Battlemage's Hood, Battlemage's Gambeson, Battlemage's Legguards, and Battlemage's Boots.

Practical Notes

Keep spare Blank Parchment and Blank Thread nearby — many Apparatus recipes consume them. If a recipe stalls, check that every pedestal has exactly the right item and that the base item is sitting on the Apparatus itself, not on a pedestal. Use the Display Case to store finished trinkets like the Amulet of Mana Boost or Belt of Levitation within reach of your setup.
