Generating Mana with Sourcelinks

Sourcelink Types

Mana, called Source, is produced by Sourcelinks. The Agronomic Sourcelink generates Source from nearby plant growth. The Alchemical Sourcelink generates Source from items placed nearby. Both are crafted through the Enchanting Apparatus. Place them close to whatever they consume, then route the Source to your devices.

Storing and Using Source

Source flows into Containment Jars placed adjacent to the Sourcelink. A Containment Jar stores Source for later use. The Creative Source Jar provides unlimited Source for testing. Connect jars to spell turrets, the Enchanting Apparatus, or other Source-consuming blocks. If a device is not receiving Source, check that a jar sits between the Sourcelink and the device.

Practical Setups

For an Agronomic Sourcelink, plant a dense field of crops or Archwood Saplings nearby and let them grow; the link harvests the growth energy. For an Alchemical Sourcelink, drop items into an adjacent inventory or hopper system. Blaze Fiber and essences are common fuels. Keep a Containment Jar buffer so turrets keep firing between growth cycles. If you need a large reserve, chain several jars together and feed them from multiple Sourcelinks.
