Crafting and Using Spell Turrets

Pick Your Turret

Three turret tiers exist: Basic Spell Turret, Adjustable Spell Turret, and Enchanted Spell Turret. The Basic version casts a fixed spell. The Adjustable version lets you change the spell after placement. The Enchanted version is the top tier for sustained defense.

Craft a turret, then place it facing the direction you want it to fire. Each turret needs a spell set before it will activate. Use a Caster Tome or Archmage Spell Book to configure the spell, then apply it to the turret.

Power and Placement

Turrets draw mana from your Source network. Connect them to an Arcane Core fed by Agronomic Sourcelink or Alchemical Sourcelink generation, with a Containment Jar as buffer. Without Source, the turret will not fire.

Place turrets at chokepoints, doorways, or along walls where mobs path. The Adjustable Spell Turret is best for testing different glyph combinations — swap the spell until you find one that suits the location. Combine with Arcane Platform blocks to build elevated firing positions. For a stationary defensive line, chain several Enchanted Spell Turrets along a corridor and keep the Source buffer topped up. Use the Dominion Wand to check and reassign turret ownership if you have multiple casters on one base.
