Override Generated Assets with a Custom Resource Pack

How Priority Works

ARRP generates files at lower priority than user resource packs by design. This means your custom visuals always win without conflicts.

Creating Your Override Pack

1. Build a standard Minecraft resource pack with the same folder structure as the generated assets

2. Match the texture or model paths exactly—for example, if ARRP generates textures/item/custom_sword.png, place your override at the same path

3. Load your resource pack above ARRP in the resource pack menu (or let it auto-load if you've set it as default)

4. Reload textures in-game (F3+T on most setups) or restart

Verifying the Override

Your custom file should now display instead of the generated one. If it doesn't appear, double-check the file path matches exactly, including capitalization. You can have multiple resource packs active—they layer in order, so higher packs override lower ones.
