Generate Custom Data (Tags, Recipes, Loot Tables) at Runtime
Understanding Runtime Data Generation
ARRP doesn't just handle textures and models—it generates entire data packs during gameplay. This includes tags, recipes, and loot tables without requiring separate data pack files.
Building Your Data
1. Use ARRP's data generation methods to define tags (like tool tags or damage-immune blocks)
2. Create recipe definitions that ARRP will serialize into JSON at load time
3. Define loot table structures; ARRP converts these to the proper format automatically
4. All generation happens as Minecraft starts, so no manual file creation is needed
Testing and Iteration
Load your world and verify tags work with commands like /tag @s list or check recipes in the crafting menu. If you need to adjust values or add new entries, modify your generation code and restart the world. Because everything is built on-the-fly, you avoid the slow file-packing cycle of traditional data packs.
