Making Boards, Railings, and Totem Wings for Wood Builds

Boards from Logs

Craft Acacia Boards and Birch Boards from their respective logs. Boards are the parent block for the wood shape family in this palette.

Cutting the Shapes

Take Acacia Boards to a stonecutter for Acacia Board Slab, Acacia Board Vertical Slab, Acacia Board Stairs, and Acacia Board Wall. Repeat with Birch Boards for the Birch equivalents. Vertical Slabs close corners that normal slabs cannot.

Railings and Totem Wings

Craft Acacia Railing and Birch Railing for fence-like barriers that match the board texture. Craft Acacia Totem Wing as a decorative carved piece. Place Totem Wings on posts or above doorways where a plain board would look flat.

Combining Woods

Use Acacia Boards as the structural frame and Birch Boards as infill panels, or reverse it. Because both share the same shape set, you can swap Slab, Stairs, Vertical Slab, and Wall between them without breaking the silhouette.

Build Order

Lay Boards as the floor, run Railing along the edge, cap posts with Totem Wing, and trim openings with Board Stairs. Use Board Walls on balconies and Board Vertical Slabs on every corner.
