How to Craft and Use the Abyssal Armor Set

Crafting the Set

Abyssal armor is made through smithing_transform recipes, not a standard crafting table. You need a Smithing Template, the corresponding base armor piece, and Abyssal Amethyst as the addition material. The set consists of Abyssal Heaume, Abyssal Brigandine, Abyssal Leggings, and Abyssal Boots. Each piece requires its own Smithing Template and Abyssal Amethyst alongside the base armor.

Using the Set

Wear all four pieces together for the full effect. The Abyssal Tiara is a separate head slot item and is not part of the smithing upgrade path — it is its own piece. If you want a lighter alternative, Salvager Helmet, Salvager Suit, Salvager Waders, and Salvager Boots form a distinct set. The Terrible set (Terrible Helmet, Terrible Chestplate, Terrible Leggings, Terrible Boots) is another option, and Terrible Chakram, Terrible Blade, Terrible Cleaver, and Terrible Fang are its matching weapons.

Abyssal Amethyst is the key material for the Abyssal set. Gather it before starting the smithing process. Combine the Smithing Template, base armor, and Abyssal Amethyst at a smithing table for each piece. Once equipped, the full Abyssal set gives you the defensive tier you need for deeper Aquamirae encounters.
