Crafting the Abyssal Armor Set

What you need

The Abyssal set consists of Abyssal Heaume, Abyssal Brigandine, Abyssal Leggings, and Abyssal Boots. These are produced through smithing_transform recipes, not a standard crafting table. You will need the corresponding Terrible piece as the base, plus the Smithing Template and the required material — Abyssal Amethyst — for each slot.

Step by step

1. Craft the full Terrible set first (Terrible Helmet, Terrible Chestplate, Terrible Leggings, Terrible Boots).

2. Obtain Smithing Template from loot or crafting.

3. Mine or loot Abyssal Amethyst from underwater structures and Frozen Chests.

4. Place a smithing table and combine each Terrible piece with a Smithing Template and Abyssal Amethyst to produce the matching Abyssal piece.

After the upgrade

Abyssal armor gives stronger protection for deep-sea exploration. Pair it with Oxygen Tank and Oxyhelium so you can stay submerged longer while hunting Maze Mother, Captain Cornelia, or Maelstrom Vestige. Keep spare Abyssal Amethyst — the same material is used in the Abyssal Tiara and other recipes. If you prefer mobility over raw defense, the Salvager Helmet, Salvager Suit, Salvager Waders, and Salvager Boots are an alternative smithing_transform line built from the same Terrible base.
