How to Use Spatial Storage and Spatial Cells

Spatial components

Craft 2³ Spatial Component, 16³ Spatial Component, or 128³ Spatial Component to define the volume a spatial cell can hold. Combine a component with a housing to make the matching 2³ Spatial Storage Cell, 16³ Spatial Storage Cell, or 128³ Spatial Storage Cell.

A spatial cell stores a region of the world as data. The size prefix tells you the edge length of the cube it captures: 2, 16, or 128 blocks per side. Larger components require more advanced ingredients, so start with 2³ Spatial Component and scale up.

Capturing and restoring regions

Build a spatial storage setup around the area you want to capture. The cell must be inserted into the spatial IO device, and the region boundaries must be defined by the surrounding spatial structure. When triggered, the blocks inside the boundary are removed and stored in the cell.

Insert the same cell again and trigger the reverse operation to place the region back. This is useful for moving builds, storing farms, or relocating machines without rebuilding them.

Spatial cells are not item storage; they hold world data. Keep them in a safe place and label them, because a 128³ Spatial Storage Cell can hold an enormous volume. Test with a 2³ Spatial Storage Cell on a small structure first to confirm your boundary and orientation before committing a large cell.
