How to Set Up Autocrafting with ME Pattern Providers

Encode the Pattern

Craft a Blank Pattern, then place it in an Inscriber with the required Calculation Processor to encode a recipe. Each encoded pattern stores one recipe: the inputs and the expected output. For crafting-table recipes, the pattern records the grid layout; for machine recipes, it records the input and output slots.

Provide the Patterns

Place an ME Pattern Provider against the machine or Molecular Assembler that will run the recipe. Insert encoded patterns into the provider. A Molecular Assembler handles crafting-table recipes on its own; for furnace, inscriber, or other machine recipes, point the provider at that machine and let it push inputs in and pull outputs out.

Add Crafting CPUs

Crafting jobs run on a Crafting Unit multiblock. Place one or more Crafting Unit blocks, then attach 1k, 4k, 16k, 64k, or 256k Crafting Storage blocks to give the CPU memory for the job. Add Crafting Co-Processing Unit blocks to let the CPU run several patterns at once. Place a Crafting Monitor on the CPU so you can see job progress. Request items from any terminal on the network and the CPU will dispatch the patterns to the providers.
