How to Grow and Charge Certus Quartz

Budding blocks

Find or create Flawless Budding Certus Quartz, Flawless Budding Certus Quartz variants degrade over time: Flawless, Chipped, Damaged, and Flawed Budding Certus Quartz. Place a budding block and let it grow Small, Medium, Large Certus Quartz Bud, and finally Certus Quartz Cluster. Mine the cluster to get Certus Quartz Crystal; the budding block stays and regrows.

Speed growth with a Growth Accelerator placed adjacent to the budding block and powered through AE2 Cable and/or Bus. Use Crystal Resonance Generator if you need a dedicated power source for growth setups.

Charging

Raw Certus Quartz Crystal must be charged before many recipes. Place a Charger and connect it to power via cable. Insert Certus Quartz Crystal to receive Charged Certus Quartz Crystal. The Charger also produces Charged Certus Quartz Crystal from Certus Quartz Dust in some recipes.

Use Charged Certus Quartz Crystal to craft Fluix Block, Fluix Slab, Fluix Stairs, and Fluix Wall, and to make Charged Quartz Fixture for lighting. Combine charged crystals with Certus Quartz Dust and other ingredients in an Inscriber to produce Calculation Processor, Basic Card, Advanced Card, and other components. Keep a stock of both charged and uncharged crystals; many recipes alternate between them.
