How to Build Your First ME Storage Network

Core blocks

Start with an ME Controller, then place ME Drive blocks adjacent to it. Insert 1k ME Item Storage Cell, 4k ME Item Storage Cell, 16k ME Item Storage Cell, 64k ME Item Storage Cell, or 256k ME Item Storage Cell into the drive to give the network item capacity. For fluids, use the matching ME Fluid Storage Cell tiers in a drive as well.

Connect everything with AE2 Cable and/or Bus. Use ME Glass Cable, ME Covered Cable, ME Smart Cable, or their Dense variants to link the controller, drives, and terminals. Cable Anchor and Cable Facade let you hide or shape runs.

Power and access

Feed the network with an Energy Acceptor touching the controller, then supply power from an Energy Cell, Dense Energy Cell, or Creative Energy Cell. Add a Bright Illuminated Panel or Charged Quartz Fixture for light.

To insert and remove items, place an ME Chest with a storage cell inside, or attach an ME Interface for automation handoff. Use the ME IO Port to move items between cells and the network quickly.

Expanding

Add Crafting Storage blocks (1k, 4k, 16k, 64k, 256k) to a Crafting Unit cluster when you later add ME Pattern Provider and Crafting Co-Processing Unit. Keep drives near the controller so cable runs stay short and every block touches the network.
