Recognizing Status Effect Indicators

Apple Hearts Resource Pack replaces all health display variants with themed apple textures. Each status effect has its own distinct apple color and style so you can quickly identify your condition at a glance.

Status Effect Apple Colors

Red apples represent your normal health. These are your standard hearts and appear when you have no active effects.

Golden apples indicate absorption health, typically granted by golden apples or certain potions. This extra protective layer appears above your regular health bar.

Green apples show when you are poisoned. The poison effect gradually reduces your health, and the green apple texture makes this clear.

Blue apples appear when you are frozen or affected by cold-based effects. These display in snowy biomes or when hit by freezing damage.

Dark withered apples replace your hearts when the Wither effect is active. This debilitating status effect is visually distinct to warn you of danger.

Hardcore mode uses a special apple variant to indicate permadeath is enabled. Pay close attention to this visual difference when playing hardcore worlds.
