How to Farm and Control Spawners
Capturing a Spawner
Use Spawner Chains to move a spawner. A Caged Invader holds a captured invader inside a cage, and the Apothic Invader Summoner is what you use to bring an invader into the world. Combine these to relocate and redeploy the mob source you want instead of hunting for a natural spawner.
Upgrading Spawners With Runes
Spawner Runes change how a spawner behaves. Apply a Rune of Spawning Range to widen the area it covers, a Rune of Control to rein in its output, and a Rune of Silence to quiet it. The Rune of Solitude and Rune of Stupor alter its behavior further, while the Rune of Echoes and Rune of Perpetual Twilight change its conditions. The Rune of Defiance, Rune of Debilitation, and Rune of Immolation each apply their own effect to spawned mobs.
Dedicated Upgrade Runes
Four upgrade runes target specific spawner goals: the Frontiersman's Spawner Upgrade Rune, the Mountaineer's Spawner Upgrade Rune, the Thundering Spawner Upgrade Rune, and the Wayfarer's Spawner Upgrade Rune. Use the Infused Spawner Rune to infuse a spawner with rune effects. The Rune of Youth keeps spawned creatures from aging out.
Managing the Farm
Set your upgraded spawner in a controlled room, then decide whether you want volume or precision. Range and control runes let you tune output to your collection method, and silence keeps the area quiet while you work nearby.
