How to Cut and Socket Gems with the Gem Cutting Table

Cutting Gems

Place a Gem Cutting Table and open it. Insert the raw gem you want to process into the input slot. The table cuts the gem into a usable cut gem, which is the form required for socketing into gear. Keep the cut gem in the output slot until you move it to your inventory.

Socketing with Sigils

To put a cut gem into a piece of equipment, you need a Sigil of Socketing. Combine the Sigil of Socketing with the target item and the cut gem. The sigil opens a socket on the item and the gem is placed into it, granting its effect while equipped. If you want to remove a gem later, use a Sigil of Withdrawal on the socketed item to pull the gem back out.

Storing Gems

Keep spare cut gems in a Gem Case. The Gem Case of House Fabergé is the upgraded storage variant for larger collections. Both hold gems so they do not clutter your inventory while you gather materials for more cutting and socketing.
