Survive a Lightning Strike for the Smited Achievement

Create Ideal Conditions

Lightning strikes occur naturally during thunderstorms in Minecraft.

Position Yourself Correctly

The achievement requires you to be struck by lightning within three blocks of your position. Stand in an open field or on a hilltop during a thunderstorm to maximize exposure. Avoid standing directly under lightning rods, which will redirect strikes away from you.

Prepare for Survival

Wear protective gear and carry healing items before attempting this. Lightning deals significant damage, so have armor equipped and food or healing potions ready. You must survive the strike—dying will not count toward the achievement.

When lightning strikes near you, the achievement will trigger if you survive. Check your Challenge Advancements tab (press L, green book icon) to confirm the Smited trophy banner has been awarded.
