Find and Explore Research Laboratory Structures

Locate Natural Laboratories

Research laboratory buildings generate naturally in village biomes including deserts, taigas, snowy regions, and savannas. Explore these biomes and look for distinctive structures featuring Pokéball banners on their exteriors. These custom buildings are designed to stand out from standard village houses, making them easier to spot as you travel.

Explore the Interior

Enter the laboratory and examine its layout. These structures contain decorative elements like patterned blue carpets and bookshelves that create an authentic research atmosphere. While the buildings themselves are primarily visual and atmospheric, they serve as landmarks indicating active villages where Paleontologist villagers may be found or established.

Establish a Trading Post

If a laboratory is near an unemployed villager or an existing village, consider placing a Lab Table inside or adjacent to the structure. This creates a thematic fossil trading hub. The laboratory's presence signals a good location for your Paleontologist operations, and the structure provides shelter and organization for your fossil-hunting base.
