Adjust Ink Tone Darkness and Contrast
Access Shader Settings
Open the Iris shader options menu while in-game. Press the key bound to open shader settings (typically accessed through the Iris menu or a dedicated hotkey). Look for the Ancient Brush Strokes profile in your active shader list.
Modify Ink Intensity
Locate sliders or toggles for ink saturation, shadow depth, and tonal range. These controls let you shift between lighter, more delicate washes and darker, bolder ink effects. Increasing shadow depth makes distant terrain appear more dramatically painted, while reducing it creates a softer, more ethereal look.
Fine-Tune Lighting Balance
Adjust the balance between highlight and shadow areas. Some presets let you control how aggressively the shader darkens valleys or brightens peaks. Experiment with these values during different times of day—morning light interacts differently with ink tones than evening does.
Preview and Save
Changes apply in real-time. Walk around your world to see how adjustments affect different biomes and block types. Once satisfied, the shader remembers your settings for future sessions.
