Reduce or Increase Atmospheric Fog Distance
Find Fog Configuration Options
Open the shader settings and search for Fog, Atmosphere, or Distance Rendering. This controls how far you can see before distant terrain fades into haze.
Adjust Fog Density and Range
Look for fog distance or fog density sliders. Increasing distance lets you see further before fog obscures terrain—useful for viewing distant mountains or structures. Decreasing distance creates a closer, more intimate atmosphere with softer, hazier horizons.
Balance Aesthetics and Performance
Longer fog distances improve visibility but may reduce frame rate. Shorter distances create a cozy, fantasy-like feel and often improve performance. Test by standing on high ground and observing how far terrain remains clear.
Fine-Tune Fog Appearance
Some settings allow you to adjust fog color or thickness separately from distance. Thicker fog creates mystery; thinner fog feels clearer and more open. Experiment until distant terrain fades naturally without feeling oppressive or too sparse.
Save your preferred fog settings to maintain consistency during exploration and building.
