Crafting the Crate

The Crate is a block and is produced by a shaped crafting recipe. Arrange the ingredients in the required pattern in the crafting grid to get one Crate. Place it down like any normal block.

Using the Crate for Storage

Once placed, the Crate acts as a storage block. Open it to deposit and withdraw items. This makes it useful as a field container: put one down near a work area, a farm, or a firing position so you do not have to walk back to your base for supplies.

Where the Crate Fits

The Crate pairs naturally with the other items in the mod. Keep Darts in a Crate next to where you use the Blowgun so ammunition is always on hand. Keep Yeti Feeders stocked from a nearby Crate so refilling is quick. If you use the Ducky Mask, store it in a Crate when you are not wearing it.

Practical Steps

1. Craft the Crate with its shaped recipe.

2. Place it where you actually work, not just in your main storage room.

3. Fill it with the items you use at that location.

4. Break and move the Crate whenever your work area shifts.

Because the Crate is a block, you can pick it back up and relocate it as your base grows.
