Configure Water Reflection Settings

Open the Alma Shaders menu and locate water-related options. These typically include:

• Reflection Quality: Higher settings render more detailed reflections of the sky, clouds, and terrain on water surfaces
• Water Clarity: Adjust transparency to control how far you can see into water bodies
• Wave Detail: Some versions allow control over water surface wave complexity

Position Yourself for Best Results

Water reflections look most impressive when:

• You're standing at a low angle to the water surface (not directly above)
• The sun or moon is visible in the sky (reflections mirror the light source)
• You're near large, calm water bodies like oceans or lakes rather than small streams
• Clouds are present to create dynamic reflection patterns

Test Different Biomes

Water appearance varies by biome due to Alma's lighting system. Visit swamps, rivers, and ocean biomes to see how reflection quality interacts with different lighting conditions. Adjust settings based on which environments you spend the most time in.
