How to Use the Improbable Probability Device and Pulsating Black Hole

What These Items Do

The Improbable Probability Device and the Pulsating Black Hole are late-game items in the same tier as the GregStar. The Improbable Probability Device is used for probability-based outcomes, and the Pulsating Black Hole is a high-tier crafting component. Both sit at the end of the star progression, so you should already have an ATM Star and GregStar before pursuing them.

Crafting Path

Build up the star chain first: ATM Star Shard, then ATM Star, then GregStar. The Improbable Probability Device and Pulsating Black Hole are crafted from that same late-game material pool, including AllTheCatalystium. Gather AllTheCatalystium in bulk because it appears across multiple recipes in this tier.

Pairing with Other Endgame Items

The Dragon Soul, Wither's Compass, and Oblivion Shard belong to the same boss and endgame progression. If you are hunting the Ender Dragon or the Wither, craft the Wither's Compass and Dragon Soul alongside the Improbable Probability Device so you are not backtracking for materials.
